I had some technical difficulties posting ealier, but I wasn't moved because I was truly dissapointed in the BET award this year. But due to the overwhelming responses I got in my email, I decided to go ahead and post some highlights (if you can call them that) of the show. X X The show opened with New Edition singing “I Want You Back” as a tribute to Michael. X Then Jamie came out, cracked a few jokes and did the moonwalk. Check out the video: X

X It was an ok performance until se start having a seizure at the end... X A. Keys was snapped in the audience, she received the Humanitarian Award X BBD performed X as did Keith Sweat, now that was a throwback X In one of the most awkward moments of the night, KeKe Palmer decided to sing before presenting an award...I still don't understand why. X In another awkward momet Chaka Khan told LeToya don't worry about winning Grammys becase she has plenty of time. It was suppose to be encouraging but it sounded like she didn't think that poor girl would ever get one. X Ne-Yo took off his hat exposing his foolish looking head in respect for MJ. X and Lil Wayne and Drake performed as well X X Aside from the blatent Negrodom of the show, the fact that BET had a whole award ceremony put together and then tried to change it at the last minute proved to be a disaster. I can say with confidence that this was the worst BET awards I have ever seen. Im sad Michael has passed but even sadder that his death turned the BET awards into a damn circus. The concesus has been that they should have left the show AS IS and did a small tribute to him at the end. Do better BET....
Jay-Z has set a release date for his new album "The BluePrint 3". X It will drop on September 11th via Warner Bros. Records. The new LP will be released on the eight year anniversary of the the first Blueprint album and the 9/11 attacks.
