Laurence Fishburne is in talks to replace William Petersen as the star of CBS' veteran crime drama "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation."
US Weekly report: The search for a new lead has been shrouded in secrecy, but sources say Fishburne is being heavily courted to play the new character, described as a doctor/scientist outsider to the CSI unit who has the same genetic profile as a serial killer but hasn't previously acted on any homicidal impulses.
That might make me have to tune in if he lands the gig.
Niecy Nash (of Reno 911 and Clean House fame) has a sitcom on the way. Her new show is tentatively called “Do Not Disturb” and is set to premiere on Fox later on this year.

According to a report from The New York Post - racial epithets may have sparked the fight between her and "Hairspray" star Nikki Blonsky and their respective families. The skirmish took place Wednesday in the lounge of Providenciales Airport on the Turks and Caicos Islands as both parties were waiting to board a flight back to New York. Bianca's mother, Elaine Golden, was allegedly beaten by Nikki's father Carl Blonsky so badly that she was airlifted to a Florida hospital, where she remains in the intensive care unit with a broken nose and cracked skull. Blonsky is being held in an island jail after failing to post $75,000 bail.
According to the Post report, the incident began when the Blonskys took up several seats in a small departure lounge with the family's luggage. A member of the Golden family, who was holding a child, asked that room be made so that he could sit down. According to a witness account, the Blonskys were resentful that some of their luggage had to be placed on the floor and began making racial comments, including referring to blacks as animals and using the n-word."Bianca sat and listened and tried to ignore it until it got too much for her, and then she told Nikki to shut her mouth," said the model's cousin, Maria Williams. But other sources say the epithets started with the Goldens: "I don't want to sit next to any white b*tch." said one of the ground, he unnamed source claims. After the words escalated into a physical fight, the two celebs - both 19 - were arrested on charges of assault with "actual bodily harm," which carries a possible sentence of two years.
