Bernie Mac Passes Away...

The associated press reports:

"Actor/comedian Bernie Mac passed away this morning from complications due to pneumonia in a Chicago area hospital," his publicist, Danica Smith, said in a statement from Los Angeles. She said no other details were available and asked that his family's privacy be respected.

He suffered from sarcoidosis, an inflammatory lung disease that produces tiny lumps of cells in the body's organs, but had said the condition went into remission in 2005. He recently was hospitalized and treated for pneumonia, which his publicist said was not related to the disease.

"I came from a place where there wasn't a lot of joy," Mac told the AP in 2001. "I decided to try to make other people laugh when there wasn't a lot of things to laugh about."

Us Magazine reported that Oprah Winfrey tops the list of highest paid people on television. She earns $385 million a year. The next highest paid is Simon Cowell who banked $50 million last year. Thats a 300+ million gap. Wouldn't it be funny to hear Oprah tell Simon I think your salary is just dredful, it's absolutely utterly horrid. Lol.







The passenger/owner of the car involved in Morgan Freeman’s accident this weekend has been revealed. Her name is Demaris Meyer and she was driving at the time of the accident. According to TMZ, Demaris is a very close friend of Morgan’s wife Myrna and is often seen at their house for get-togethers.



His reps gave the following statement about his condition:“He has a broken arm, broken elbow and minor shoulder damage but he is in good spirits. He is going to have surgery this afternoon or tomorrow to correct the damage. He says he’ll be okay and is looking forward to a full recovery.”

Morgan Freeman in serious condition after car accident, Long Live the King...of comedy.

Academy-Award winning actor Morgan Freeman was injured in a car accident late Sunday night and is in a hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.

According to the associated Press: Regional Medical Center spokeswoman Kathy Stringer said Freeman, 71, is in serious condition. Mississippi Highway Patrol spokesman Sgt. Ben Williams confirmed Freeman was in a wreck shortly before midnight Sunday, but said he was still gathering information and had few details Monday.It appeared that Freeman's car was airborne went it left the highway and landed in a ditch."They had to use the jaws of life to extract him from the vehicle," McFerrin said. "He was lucid, conscious. He was talking, joking with some of the rescue workers at one point."
