Star Tidbits: Wyclef pays if forward, Diahann Carroll’s memoirs, Porschla’s new man, Webbie arrested, and Nate Dogg has a stroke

Wyclef recently traveled to Haiti where he gave out bags of rice and beans and cans of cooking oil to hundreds of Haitians near the town of Cabaret on last weekend. At one point, the truck they were in got stuck in a ditch, so they handed out the food on the roadside. Jean said he hoped more people will donate to United Nations relief efforts to help the impoverished nation recover from four devastating storms in the past month.

Apparently Russell and his replacement boo Porschla have split up. Sources are reporting that Vanessa and Angela Simmons had an awkward run-in with their uncle’s ex the other night. The girls, who starred on MTV’s “Run’s House,” were walking the red carpet at the LeBron James Foundation event when they came face to face with Russell Simmons’ ex-girlfriend Porschla Coleman - on the arm of Dallas Maverick Jason Kidd. A spy relates, “They said hello, but once inside, the girls avoided Porschla all night.”

Wow, people in Hollywood truly move on with the quickness. I bet Kimora will get a kick of this….

A source reports: Webbie was arrested Sunday and charged with felony eluding after leading police on a dangerous high-speed chase through Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Police reports reveal that officers attempted to stop a 2009 Dodge Challenger for a routine traffic stop last Sunday on I-59 North at 3:30pm. The driver ignored the officer’s flashing lights and began driving erratically before crashing into a black 1999 Mercury Cougar. Then dump the car off in a parking lot.

Really Webbie, you don’t have nothing better to do than lead police on high speed chases?
