Quick News: Case shot himself... and lived to tell about it + Tiny wants to do your nails

Remember R&B singer Case? He had the hit song “Touch me Tease me” featuring Foxy Brown back in the day. Well he’s back with a new album called The Rose Experience set to drop March 24th.
X
X
During a recent interview he revealed something very interesting:
X
“...Then, I had an accident in ’02,” he continued, “where I accidentally shot myself in the throat, so that put things on home for a minute.”
X
Apparently, when Case was moving the gun, expecting his kids to find it, the hair trigger went off. After I came-to, the first thing I did was try to sing,” Case said. “That’s all I was really concerned about at that time.”
X
Its not everyday that somebody shoots themselves in the throat and lives to tell about it. I’m surprised he didn’t convert to gospel!

And T.I.’s boo Tiny has decided to get whatever she likes. And what she likes is a nail shop:
X
X
“Georgia peach Tameka "Tiny" Cottle knows a thing or two about southern hospitality. The former member of the nineties female quartet Xscape will be opening Tiny's Nail Bar, a full-service nail salon replete with a full-service bar, in Stockbridge, Georgia. While enjoying relaxing manicures, pedicures and other self-indulging services such as massages, body wraps and spray tanning, the patrons will be treated to complimentary health drinks and juices."
X
"I'm going to offer nice but affordable services so everyone can enjoy themselves, relax and feel pretty," says Tiny, who's engaged to Grammy-winning rapper T.I. and is the biological mother of two of their five children. "I'm very picky about my nails and hair, so I'm going to make sure that I do my best to deliver top-notch customer service."
X
Who's gonna watch the shop while she goes to visit T.I. in the slammer?

As we previously posted, Beyonce performed at the 2008 Bermuda Music Festival on last Thursday in Hamilton, Bermuda. Here are a couple of more pics from her set:

Fiya!
Here is a video clip of her perfomring "At Last"

X
She was also snapped on Miami Beach with security in full effect. She rocked a bikini and a major square cut ring on her special finger (valued at a cool 5 million dollars). This one is totally different than any of the other rings we have seen. Let me find out Jigga gave her multiple rings to wear whenever she feels like it. Must be nice…..

Check out these pics from Jay-Z’s free concert (also in Miami) in support of voter registration. Wyclef also hit the stage.

Star Tidbits: Usher’s “One Night Stand”, R.Kelly breaks Ne-Yo off, Jay-z speaks on Tierra Marie and Foxy Brown, and Star Jones is on the rebound

The Associated Press is reporting Usher will soon announce details of his “One Night Stand” tour. He said specific dates are still being worked out for about 15 “intimate” venues.
The tour will be fo “ladies only.” Usher had this to say about the event:

“There’s only a few artists that can pull that off. I feel like I’ve had such a connection with my audience. This album, I felt like, was definitely the type of one that was more intimate. So what better way to get up close and personal than to make it all women? The ladies like to see that masculine build…”

A source is reporting that a Los Angeles judge has ordered R. Kelly’s promoter to pay over $700k to Ne-Yo. Superior Court Judge Malcolm Mackey made his default judgment after Georgia-based Rowe Entertainment refused to respond to the lawsuit filed by Ne-Yo. The singer was supposed to earn $785,000 on the 25-date gig, but got booted after the second show on Nov. 15 and only received a fraction of that amount.

Jay-Z is finally speaking out on the comments made against him by Tierra Marie and Foxy Brown:

“As far as Foxy or Tierra Marì, these are people that I have given chances to. It’s understandable that they would be upset, but you got to look at it from my point of view as well. I gave Teairra Marì the same shot I gave Rihanna. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t.....You know that stuff is going to happen, eventually it’s going to happen. What I’m happy about is, that no matter what people say, no one has ever said that I am dishonest or that I have taken one dime from them…I’ve never cheated anyone out of a dime. No one’s ever said that, right?”

I agree 100% you either got it or you don’t, you cant get salty Tierra and Foxy….

TMZ has pics of Star Jones giving a little peep show at the US Open:

More Legal Woes....

Both Foxy Brown and Lil' Kim are being sued by the same publisher.

Publisher Simon & Schuster filed separate lawsuits in the New York State Supreme Court Thursday against the two rappers for not delivering books for which they had already accepted advances for. According to The Associated Press, Brown (Inga Marchand) was paid $75,000 in 2005 for an autobiography tentatively titled "Broken Silence," which was due by February 2006. Kim (Kimberly Jones) signed up in 2003 to write her debut novel by June 2004 and was paid $40,000. The suit seeks the return of the advances from the two women, each of whom has done prison time since signing her respective deal — Kim in 2005 for perjury and Brown in 2007 for violating probationSimon & Schuster spokesperson Adam Rothberg told Bloomberg Newss on Thursday. Simon & Schuster has published a number of titles by other rappers, including 50 Cent's autobiography, a series of books by 50, based on his rhymes, and others by members of G-Unit.

A lawyer for Foxy Brown and Kim's spokesperson could not be reached for comment at press time.

Lil Wayne is also being sued for allegedly sampling songs without permission or proper credit. On Thursday, Abkco Music Inc., a musical publishing company that owns the rights to the Rolling Stones' classic "Play With Fire," filed suit against Weezy not for using an unauthorized sample, but for what it said was an unauthorized release of an altered version of the song.
According to a Reuters report, the lawsuit, filed in federal court in New York, charges copyright infringement and unfair competition and is seeking unspecified damages. The issue is over a profanity-laced bonus track from Weezy's album Tha Carter III, called "Playing With Fire," which does not list any samples in its credits. In the song's chorus, blues belter Betty Wright growls the line, "But you can't blame me if I set this stage on fire," which has similar wording to the Stones tune's chorus: "But don't play with me/ 'Cause you're playing with fire." Wright sings the line with a different cadence and emphasis than Stones singer Mick Jagger. The company also says in the suit that Wayne's version uses "explicit, sexist and offensive language" and might lead the public to believe the company and the Stones approved of and authorized the new version.

A spokesperson for Wayne could not be reached for comment at press time. Why is the spokesperson never available???
