New York City turns down Diddy + he and Ciroc want to pay your cab fare

Diddy reportedly offered the city of New York $1 million to take over Times Square Garden and turn it into a blue Winter Wonderland for New Year’s Eve. Unfortunately for him, they were not trying to have it.

I’m surprised he only offered $1 million for essentially renting out Madison Square Garden, but then again we are in a recession. Lol.

It clearly did not damp his Holiday cheer because NY Daily News is reporting that Diddy and Ciroc are offering free cab rides on New Year’s Eve.

“New York is the world’s most iconic New Year’s Eve city, so let’s lead by example and show everyone that a sophisticated holiday celebration doesn’t just end when the ball drops, but when everyone gets home safely,” Combs said.Thousands of $15 debit cards that can be redeemed for single taxi rides will be handed out by Ciroc street teams in Times Square and in Chelsea beginning at 11 p.m. Wednesday night.

The cards will be doled out until 3 a.m. New Year’s Day, or until the supply runs out.

While this is a great notion, I think a few people will have a problem with Diddy encouraging people to get plastered. But I guess he means well....
